Gaza No-Fly Zone author, Islamophobia expert on TJ Radio Wednesday

Truth Jihad Radio Wed. 4/24/11, 1-3 pm Central, American Freedom Radio (archived here.) Call-in number: (402) 237-2525 or post your questions to my Facebook page.

First hour: Dr. Mohamed Khodr, author, Petition to the UN to Impose a No-Fly Zone over Gaza. Dr. Khodr's petition has gone viral during the past few days - let's push it to mega-viral status! This is the best pro-Palestine proposal I've heard since some visionaries came on my show several years ago with a seemingly quixotic idea: Sending boats to Gaza to break the blockade. A year later, the first boat arrived in Gaza...and the rest is history. God willing, the Gaza No-Fly Zone will also become a reality.

Mr. Mohamed Khodr is an American Muslim physician and a Middle East native. He has worked in Academic Medicine and Public health with national and international health experience. He is a freelance writer who often writes columns on the Palestinian cause, Islam, and America's Foreign Policy in the Middle East.

Second hour: University of California - Berkeley professor and Islamophobia expert Ramon Grosfuguel. Dr. Grosfuguel, an important voice in the field of postcolonial studies, has written about the relationship of Islamophobia and other varieties of racism; "Epistemic Islamophobia and Colonial Social Sciences"; "Othering Islam" (in the Fall 2006 JHA); and "Islam: From Phobia to Understanding" (in the Fall 2010 JHA).

In what way is public understanding of events like 9/11 and the "war on terror" conditioned by pre-existing deep-seated bigotry? Is there such a thing as "epistemic racism," a condition in which virulent bigotry limits and perverts knowledge? Tune in and find out!
